Strategies to Identify and Encourage Parental and Spousal Involvement in Student Success

In this session, expert speaker Daniel Zimmerman will provide you with an understanding of the root causes behind the potential lack of parent/spouse involvement in student engagement in higher education. Daniel will identify the problem and potential solutions and strategies that can be applied through all levels of education using the funnel system.

Daniel will look in detail at some of the main reasons, from the obvious to the not so obvious, why parents and spouses do no support their students in higher education. In addition, you will be able to implement solutions today that will help with the engagement of your students’ support base. You will get some tools that can be implemented easily to help your school, department, or unit with this growing problem.
